Wednesday's snapshot

we began learning the correct formation of #2 today.

we learned the Recycle Song today!
(tune of Jingle Bells)

Recycle, recycle
Let's sort all the trash.
Recycle, recycle
Paper, plastic, glass.

Recycle, recycle
Don't throw it in the trash.
We'll take the cartons and the cans
And make them all go SMASH.

we also talked about the recycling symbol and what it means.
the students know to start bringing in symbols they see for our class collage project.

and Princess Elizabeth from The Paper Bag Princess left the students a snack today!
before snack, I reread the book to the K4 students...
"The Princess Elizabeth is slated to marry Prince Ronald when a dragon attacks the castle and kidnaps Ronald. In resourceful and humorous fashion, Elizabeth finds the dragon, outsmarts him, and rescues Ronald --- who is less than pleased at her un-princess-like appearance."

then Ms. Brooke read the students the note from Princess Elizabeth.

Dear K4 students,

Ms. Brooke and Ms. Jaysa told me how great you are doing in their classes! I thought you deserved a little treat, but I've been so busy with that dragon. So I have sent you the ingredients to make my paper bag sandwiches! Be carefulthat dragon puff is sticky! Keep up the good work!
Love,
Your Favorite Princess, Elizabeth
