I am an early childhood teacher who taught preschool for 8 1/2 years, 2 years of K4, and ending my first year in K5. All at UWA Campus School! I love my job, teacher blogging, and hope to pass on some of the gems that I find (with due credit) and share our stories, too! Please leave a comment if you use anything you find or if you use my blog. And don't forget to become a member and sign up for email updates. :)
Thanks to all of you for doing such an AWESOME job helping your child do their recycled art project! The students are really learning how to reduce, reuse, and recycle, and they are finding creative ways to reuse items. Please take time this week to go in the science lab and look at all of the amazing creations. The students shared their projects with each other in ROD with Ms. Annie. :)
below is a picture of the class projects, too.
and also a few pictures of projects from the other classes.
moms and grandmoms...we will be talking about how important you are all this week. :)
our morning story
"It's the night before Mother's Day, and Dad and the kids are determined to show Mom just how much they love her. They whip up a cake from scratch, and offer a special coupon for a day at the spa, right in their own kitchen! Kids and moms will love reading this sweet story aloud together for a fun way to celebrate Mother's Day."
we took our group pictures this morning. I can't wait to see how precious they turned out.
we decided to grab a pic on our way back to the school.
when we got back, we fingerpainted some 5's.
Addison's mom, Ms. Dawn, stopped by representing bby and asked each student why they thought I was a superhero. I love to hear what stands out in their minds when they think of me. ;)
we read The Adventures of Gary and Harry which went along with our discussion of litter and animals.
"The Adventures of Gary and Harry - A Tale of Two Turtles Deep in the sparkling sea two playful sea turtles, Gary, a green sea turtle and Harry, a hawksbill turtle explore their ocean home. Together, the two friends discover a vast array of fascinating marine life and the challenges they often face in the deep blue sea."
we started on our classroom Recycle Fair project by beginning our recyclable collage.
this is another video on YouTube that is "intended to teach children to be responsible when it comes to trash and littering."
