Friday's snapshot

The students had Science with Miss Jenna this morning where they discussed sizes and types of boxes, went on a box hunt at the school, and then drew what they saw.

We also practiced writing K's in shaving cream today.

We reviewed our five parts of a box and created a class book titled "If I Were a Box." It will be coming home soon for share time.

The students had such a fun time this afternoon on the front lawn. Unfortunately I am still having issues posting pictures to my blog so I can't show you. They played on the mats, with hula hoops, the parachute, balls, and just ran around having a ball!

We estimated the width of a box.

We also estimated how many counting bears would fit into a small box.

Wednesday's snapshot

In between gymnastics and dance sessions, we fingerpainted some K's this morning.

Some box buildings were built this morning, too.

The students also wrote about what they would build with boxes in their journals.

This afternoon, the students made their traveling gingerbread men which will be sent home today. Please mail the man to a friend or relative. They will keep him and record their adventures and then mail him back to us so we can see what he has been up to and place him on our school map. More info will be with the gingerbread man in your child's mailbox.
