Wednesday's snapshot

in between dance and gymnastics, we fingerpainted the letter Hh.

then we learned all about fire safety for fire safety week.
we went on a scavenger hunt. the students had items on their paper that they had to locate in our building. we talked about the importance of each item.

exit signs:

smoke alarms:

fire extinguishers:

and fire hydrants:

we learned a lot from Sparky on sparky.org. we watched cartoons about kitchen safety and played some great fire safety games!

during limited center time, the students played a matching game with Sparky. while matching cards, the students had to listen for the smoke detector sound. when they heard it, they had to click on the door to escape outside to the "safe spot."

in the computer center, the students got to explore Sparky's website.

at the red table with me, the students cut out pictures and then sorted them by "hot" and "not hot."

and with Miss Hunter, the students cut apart a number order puzzle and glued it back in the correct order.

the students listened to Tacky the Penguin.

"Tacky's perfect friends find him annoying until his odd behavior saves the day."

then the students colored and cut out a boot. they learned how to lace a shoe using yarn!

TOMORROW IS A BIG GAME AGAINST VALDOSTA. DON'T FORGET TO WEAR RED FOR THE TIGER WALK AT 3:15! GO TIGERS AND GOOD LUCK!!!
