Monday's snapshot

we began the morning by practicing writing Gg in correct formation.

we also began our new unit on clothes today.
our question of the day:

we had our first read-aloud for Caps for Sale.

"This easy-to-read story is about a peddler and a band of mischievous monkeys is filled with warmth, humor, and simplicity. Children will delight in following the peddlers efforts to outwit the monkeys."

We also watched the YouTube version.

Miss Hunter read a story to us about trees for one of her undergraduate classes.

Mr. Verdie read us The Mitten and then the students got to design their very own hats to wear!

Please bring by Friday:

* an example of environmental print for our Word Wall beginning with the letter Gg. Environmental print is the print on road signs, restaurants, cereal boxes, and other places in the environment. The word “stop” on a stop sign or the name “McDonald’s” on the sign for the fast food restaurant. Environmental print is the first introduction most children have to reading. Have a letter Gg hunt around the house or grocery store or riding down the road with your child and see what you find! J
* we need lots of pairs of socks for sorting during our clothing unit. all colors, sizes, patterns, etc J

WEAR RED ON WEDNESDAY FOR OUR CLOTHES STUDY!!!
