today's snapshot

we played  played Candy Corn Bingo again this morning (letter and number recognition).

Focus First came this morning to give those who signed up a free eye screening. Focus First "provides a cost-effective direct response to the vision problems of children who live in urban and rural areas. Under the supervision of Impact staff, undergraduate and graduate students ensure that children, ages six months to five years, are screened for vision problems, using high-tech photo optic scan cameras, and receive subsidized follow-up care."

we also helped Ms. Brooke finish up the K4 bulletin board. they students chose either socks or pants printables and were asked what they might have to say.

"get me off your feet."

"hello!"

"take me to the park."

we continued our discussion on clothing with clotheslines this morning and that led us into the discussion of straight lines and curved lines. we brainstormed places we see those lines and then made some with our bodies.

then we brainstormed letters with straight lines, curved lines, and both.

we finished up our handprint spiders in lacing card webs.
you can find detailed directions on Mom Endeavors' blog.
