today's snapshot

Friday in the library, the students danced to Pete the Cat and His 4 Groovy Buttons...

then designed their own shirts and added their own 4 groovy buttons.

this morning we started practicing writing Jj in correct formation.

we kicked off Homecoming Week with Farmer Day!

we spent large group talking about fashion designers today.
we added a new part to our web:

and then talked about the design of our own clothes.

question of the day:

we enjoyed our Clifford Magazine this morning. since we are going to the Barnyard tomorrow, it worked in perfectly. we learned where pumpkins grow and their life cycle.
then we had to draw a path from T-Bone to the pumpkin patch by on circling P's.

the students then received the paper version where they had to complete the maze alone.

next we had fun by identifying numbers and then adding that many pumpkins to our vines.
we did it together first and then the students did it alone.
they did great!

this afternoon in limited centers we cut out symmetry bats for a craft so stay tuned to see the final project...

put together some Monster puzzles...

and played Clothing Store with the traveling center's cash register and our new hangers.

This is a reminder about the field trip to The Barnyard is TOMORROW. If you are a parent that is driving, you need to print out the directions from Ms. Annie's email. Do not rely on following the vans, because there are too many opportunities to get separated. We will not be able to stop and wait. Also, cell service there is not very reliable, so all those driving must have a set of directions, as it is a pretty tricky place to get to.

We will leave at 8:15. All students need to wear their Campus School shirts and bring a lunch and a drink. We will provide a snack and a drink for snack while at The Barnyard also. If your child is riding in the vans, please leave a car seat.
