Thursday's snapshot

we practiced on letter recognition today. I found this idea on Little Miss Glamour Goes to Kindergarten's blog.
I put letters in a plastic pumpkin bucket. Students pulled one letter out then bingo dotted it on the paper.

Miss Hunter turned everyone into minions!!!

even Hooey!

and made this fun Halloween board for us!

if you look close, you will see our bat mobile. I found this on Martha Stewart's site.
I introduced the concept of symmetry and the students also got to practice their cutting skills.

we used bandanas to make squares...

triangles...

and rectangles.

I also asked the students to figure out how to make a letter in the alphabet.

then we danced around with our scarves to The Skeleton Dance on YouTube.

yesterday was Pajama Day for homecoming week.

owl pj's :D

in limited centers, the students mixed yellow and blue paint to make green which went along with our question of the day:

they also practiced hanging clothes on hangers.

after our story in library where we learned all about bats, the students made a handprint bat.
