today's snapshot

I hope everyone had a great long weekend!

we got right back to business this morning with learning to write Cc's correctly.

we also played the Name Game.
I gave each student an envelope that held the letters of their name.
they had to take the letters out and unscramble them and make their name.
they did great!

Toryan in Ms. Kim's room turns 3 Thursday and we got to help her celebrate today!

Hello Kitty even dropped by to visit!!!

we had our second read aloud for Charlie Anderson today.
we talked about how we thought Charlie Anderson might feel about having two different homes.
our vocab words we focused on today were worried, disappeared, purr, stepmother, and woods.

"Charlie, a fuzzy gray cat, walked out of the woods one evening and into Elizabeth's and Sarah's hearts. Now he sleeps on their beds, lets them dress him up in doll clothes, and laps up warm milk on chilly nights. But where does Charlie go during the day?

It's not until a storm keeps Charlie away one night that the two sisters discover his other, daytime, home. But maybe that's not such a bad thing. Because, just like Elizabeth and Sarah, Charlie has two houses, two beds, and two families who love him very, very much!"

this afternoon we wrote in our journal...

played in the music center...

sorted linking cubes by colors...

and explored the c-rings.

check out this cute display outside our classroom that I had Miss Hunter put together today.
