welcome to a Hoot of a K4 Class!
we had such an awesome first day!

introducing Kaitlyn,

Maddox,

Archie,

Miles,

Rob,

Addison,

Kaitlyn,

Kairi,

and Grayson :)

we practiced writing the letter Aa today...

and explored our classroom centers...

and had some fun on the playground!

we played follow the direction games during large group time...

and read A Pocket for Corduroy

"The little furry one accompanies Lisa and her mom to do the family wash. As he overhears Lisa's mom telling her to clean out the pockets in the clothes, Corduroy realizes his overalls don't have pockets and he thinks he'd better go remedy that situation right now. The rest of the book is a "bear's eye" view of the sights, smells, and sounds of an inner-city laundromat."

we also worked on putting together 8 piece puzzles this afternoon :)

Please send the following by Friday:

* the scrapbook page, completed.
* a family picture to keep in the classroom.
* an example of environmental print for our Word Wall beginning with the letter Aa. Environmental print is the print on road signs, restaurants, cereal boxes, and other places in the environment. The word "stop" on a stop sign or the name "McDonald's" on the sign for the fast food restaurant. Environmental print is the first introduction most children have to reading. Have a letter Aa hunt around your house with your child and see what you might find to bring J
