we continued practicing writing our names correctly this morning...
and we practiced writing Aa on our whiteboard...

we watched Anansi and His Children on the smartboard...
we also read the rhyme 3 Little Kittens and brainstormed how they might have lost their mittens. our question of the day: Have you ever lost anything?
we talked about Humpty Dumpty again today and his name. we looked at our cubbies, which have our names on them, and discussed how we could put things that belong to us in them so we don't lose them like the little kittens lost their mittens.
we discussed how we could also put important papers, artwork, etc... in our mailboxes to take home.
we discovered that our names are also in the writing center...
and on the today's helpers tree.
the students got to meet Humpty Dumpty today!
our Humpty Dumpty took a great fall, too! we, like the king's horses and men, couldn't put Humpty together again! :)
the students got to see what the yolk looks like...
and a broken shell.
both were placed in the science center for the students to investigate.
