today's snapshot

This morning the students used white boards to practice forming Hh the correct way.







We continued our discussion on shadows

and had a shadow puppet party in the back hallway.





I found this awesome printable at Mine for the Making. You print it out and frame it, then students use dry erase markers on the glass and you can make countless jack-o-lanterns!
This afternoon we made Tree Shadow Projects. I can't remember if I have seen this somewhere in the past or if it came out of my head. :) The students cut their green, brown, and black squares this morning during small group.


Then they drew their tree and where the shadow would be on paper. And glued the squares on the corresponding color.





They wrote the word shadow and voila! Tree Shadows!






Today was Western Day!








Tomorrow is dance and gymnastics and INSIDE OUT DAY!!!!
