the rest of the week's snapshot

Wednesday, we had music with Ms. Poole, made shapes on our geoboards,

and discovered that blue and yellow make green.

Yesterday we had dance and gymnastics, fingerpainted Qq,

We discussed letters that have straight lines, diagonal lines, and curved lines. The students discovered on their own that P, D, and R are a few of these letters.

They also practiced writing Qq's on the big whiteboard.

question of the day:

The students had science with Ms. Jenna this morning!

After reading Pete the Cat (we missed you, Tripp!), they learned that a long time ago people did not have machines to dye clothing and threads, but crushed berries and leaves to make dye. Then the students got to tye-dye their very own shoe strings!

Each student also had the opportunity to make a pillow today with our classroom seamstress, Ms. Dawn (Addison's mommy). Please see the blog post!
