what an awesome day we had!!!
today we celebrated 101 Days of School and dressed up like Dalmations :D
we made puppy ear headbands :)
and painted faces for those who didn't come to school with their faces already painted :)
they even had their picture made with Cruella De Vil!!!
but she turned out to be our super sweet director, Ms. Annie :)
for snack we had delicious spotted cupcakes :)
then we joined Ms. Brittany's K5 class and took 101 steps around the school!
then the students drew a picture and wrote about where they ended up :)

in all the hustle and bustle, we celebrated Mr. Bowen's birthday (he is our G.A. from China)
he said it was the best birthday he's ever had! :)
after quiet time, we had our first Spanish lesson with Mr. Luis, who is from Colombia.
he will meet with us every other Wednesday.
the students learned how to say My name is _______, their colors, and a new song teaching them the days of the week in Spanish.
in limited centers, the students wrote about their favorite part of 101 Days of School...
made a patterned dog collar using regular and chocolate cheerios...
made Dalmation patterns using black construction paper and white chalk...
and used the dog house they made in R.O.D. today for independent reading. and for playing puppies of course! :)
and to end the day we watched the 101 Dalmatians movie!!!
and don't forget the Dalmatian poop!

Today is a day to celebrate!
101 days of school! That is great!
There were so many Dalmatians walking
by,
you were bound to step in a surprise!
So on the 101st day of school, I
scooped up some just for you.
I sure hope you like my special treat-
it’s Dalmatian poop!
