sewing class :)

We had the privilege of learning about sewing today!
Addison's mommy, Ms. Dawn, talked to us about sewing, introduced us to some new vocabulary, and let us help her make pillows for everyone in the class!

Ms. Dawn brought in some blue jean material so we can see what our jeans look like before they are made.

She also brought in a chevron patterned material.

We felt the Fiberfil inside an almost-complete pillow.

We saw that thread comes in many colors and is on a spool.

We saw her sewing machine that she uses at home.

We touched milky dot material.

The students got to pick out their material for their pillows.

We learned what a bobbin is...

and what a pattern is.

Then Ms. Dawn got busy sewing the pillows so that we could stuff them.

Miss Brittney helped the students stuff their pillows.

And here are the pillows completed! 

(Don't worry Kennadi and Tripp! We made one for you, too!)
