this week's snapshot

Since we had Lexie's birthday party Friday we couldn't make our Hawaiian sundaes. But we made them Monday!

Pre-Fourth activities: We made pipe cleaner fireworks. Found this awesome idea on alililyblog.

We also made handprint flags. They turned out so cute! I saw this idea on Muffin Tin Mom's site. Check her out!

We also played Pictionary, well we thought of words in our head and drew them for others to guess. :)

a bear!

a turtle!

a girl!

a pig that turned out looking just like a mouse!

Ms. Brooke found a great site with lots of fun games for the projector. click {here}!

We also started our Olympic study this month. I found a great calendar connections set at 1plus1plus1equals1's site. We discuss and watch a video daily on specific events that occur in the Summer Olympics. I found http://www.olympics.org/ was extremely useful in our discoveries.

We also made star shaped cookie cutter art today ending our week of USA and 4th of July activities.

this week's snapshot

We have had several birthdays this week. We had Sadie's 5th birthday celebration...

And our friend in Ms Kaley's room, Mae, had her 6th birthday celebration...

And today Lexie celebrated her 5th birthday which is actually Sunday. Happy birthday, Lex!

Wednesday, we went to Jaycee Park for our Splash Day! We had a blast!

This week's theme was Hawaii.
We made stained glass pineapples...

completed a beach number puzzle...

You can find this and much more at Homeschool Creations' website.

We also made oceans in a bag. They were quite squishy!

First, we added sand, shells, a sun, and a cloud...
then we added some blue soap (or you can use hair gel).
