rest of the week

we practiced the correct formation of and recognizing #4.

and we finished our recycled paper towel roll bunnies.

question of the day:

then we tested to see if we could make music with paper.
we could!

we also practiced the correct formation of #4 using play-dough.

question of the day:

we enjoyed one more afternoon outside on the playground before the stormy weather showed up.

and practiced 4's on the smartboard.
each sample was printed out for portfolios.

we have read Hush! A Thai Lullaby this week.
we learned that different languages say animal sounds differently than we do.
for example, in the book the duck says ghap, ghap.

we have also been reading Peter's Chair.

"Peter is upset when his parents paint his old baby furniture pink for his new little sister. There's one thing they haven't painted yet, though: his little blue chair. He'll do whatever it takes to save it—even run away!"

we talked about why we thought Peter wasn't happy about his furniture being painted and given to his sister, how it made him feel, and what made him change his mind about giving his chair to his baby sister.

we had two very special visitors come and visit and share their talents with us this afternoon.
here are a few pictures of Ms. Becky (Kyler's mom) and Mr. Russell (Bailey's grandfather). I will post the videos Monday-they take a while to load on Vimeo. :)

they even got to strum a few notes :D

and Miss Jarhonda read Duck Rabbit to us!

have a great weekend!!!
