Wednesday's snapshot

in between dance and gymnastics, we fingerpainted Oo's...

and made reindeer following a glyph code.
you can find this activity here at Royal Baloo!

the students drew antlers with points according to their age, a nose according to if they knew the song Rudolph, added a bow tie if they were a boy and holly if they were a girl, 2 bells on the collar if they liked Frosty's story and 4 bells if they liked Rudolph's story, and large googly eyes for blue/green eyes and small googly eyes for brown eyes. a fun, creative way to practice following directions!

we read Pete the Cat Saves Christmas today so of course we had to find him online!

"'Twas the day before Christmas and Santa was ill.
In the cold winter wind he had caught a bad chill.
Will Christmas be canceled? Will it come to that?
"Never!" cried Santa.
"Let's call Pete the Cat!"

In this rockin' new spin on the traditional tale The Night Before Christmas, Pete the Cat proves that giving your all in the spirit of Christmas is the totally groovy thing to do."

You can follow along with the book on Pete the Cat's website
or
you can watch it on YouTube!

-        We are studying boxes as you know , and we are going to be making a city of boxes. If you have any boxes at home to send to school this week, we would appreciate it!

- We also need small boxes for the classroom, clear tape, and rolls of wrapping paper for our wrapping center. We will be learning how to wrap presents next week.

- Oo environmental print is due by Friday.

- Our Christmas Party is Tuesday, December 10th @ 2 pm. The following have signed up to bring supplies but anyone is welcome to bring goody bags, etc… There are 20 students in K4 (10 in each room).

o juices- Kairi’s mom

o cupcakes- Kaylen’s mom

o chips and dip- Grayson’s grandmother

o paper products- Kayla’s mom

o treat bags- Archie’s mom

- As we did last year, we are asking each child to bring a wrapped present for the classroom that is $10 or below. This will take the place of swapping gifts to each other. If you need ideas on things your child’s classroom may need, please email me.
