Downtown Livingston field trip

We had an awesome morning! Our first stop was The Studio where Ms. Shelia Hull helped the students paint Christmas tree paintings. She is a very patient, talented artist. Stop by The Studio on the square to see her many paintings or to sign up for a Studio Strokes class.

Then we walked down the street to the post office where the Post Mistress and Ms. Kelly gave us a tour.

We saw where the mail comes in, the stamp safe, the key room, the sorting area, and to the mailboxes where we could hear people checking their mail. We wondered if it might be Santa...

Then we mailed our own letters to Santa. The Post Mistress said she was going to deliver them to Santa herself!

Our last stop was at the China Dragon for lunch. Joanna and Keyanna's families run the China Dragon. The students really enjoyed their meal and the chopstick tutorial! :)

Special thanks to the International Programs and College of Education for funding our trip and to China Dragon, Sheila Hull, and the post office for a wonderful and educational experience!
