well, there's good news...and there's bad news.
.
.

.
our morning meeting story:
"In addition to the story of St. Patrick's life, here is information about how St. Patrick's Day is celebrated. There are decorations from shmrocks to shillelaghs. People give cards, share meals, and wear green to honor Ireland, the Emerald Isle. And there are parades! Included are six legends about Patrick."
we watched some Irish jigs on YouTube
and here's another
and here are the students doing the jig. love!
.
.
.
we also read Henny Penny today and watched a version on YouTube. in our book version, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Turkey Lurkey, Goosey Loosey, and Cocky Locky get eaten by Foxy Loxy and his family. In the video version, an acorn falls on Foxy Loxy's head at the end and she runs to tell the king. No one is gobbled up. Interesting!
.
.
.
we also did our Clifford magazine for March today. it discussed all the crazy weather we see in March. this week has been a perfect example of that!
the students had to count the number of bows on the kite and then draw a string to the kid with the same number on their shirt.
.
.
.
and what's St. Patrick's Day without a little leprechaun poop?!?!
.
.
.
I will post pictures from Julianne's petting zoo birthday party on Monday.
Have a great weekend!!!
