We have had such a busy day today! This morning, Ms. Kim taught us how to make homemade biscuits!
First, we added flour...
then we added Crisco...
then some milk!
Ms. Kim taught us that we should put flour on our hands before touching the dough so it won't stick to our hands.
While the biscuits were cooking in the oven, we asked the students to recall the steps in making homemade biscuits. They had their listening ears on!
Then Ms. Kim read The Little Red Hen while the biscuits finished cooking.
They look ready!
And then the best part...eating them!
Today's clothing books were:
Goldilock's and the Three Bears (we watched the eBook)
Ignoring her parents' warning, a curious little girl gets lost in the forest and enters the home of three bears while they are taking a walk and helps herself to their belongings.
We discussed how Goldilock's found different sizes in the three bears' home: small, medium, and large. Just like our clothes!
Whose Hat?
Hats are everywhere! From fire fighters to cowhands, police officers to chefs, many people wear special hats.
We learned how to form Oo's correctly.
And then we learned how to tell what size our shirts are and then tallied them.
We drew our favorite pair of rain boots during journal time, too.
