turkey counting game

One of our centers this week was the Turkey Counting Game using linking cubes. They had to match the cubes to the turkeys and then count how much each color had.

The mats came from PreKinders.

Walk with Wednesdays

UWA's Exercise Science Club has a community health program called Walk with Wednesday.  The walk is designed to increase physical activity for faculty, staff, and students even if it is just one day a month. They honor members of our community every month. For the month of November the staff, parents, and students of the Campus School were honored. We joined in the walk!

what does travel mean?

This week we will focus on what traveling means, how do we get there, and where we are going. Yesterday we brainstormed a list of places we might travel. And we learned that traveling means going from one place to another. Transportation is how we get there!

Where did the Pilgrims come from?

November was my month to do the P-3 bulletin board and if you know me, you know this was right up my alley! I love, love, love doing bulletin boards...especially with some cute Pilgrims! And I have been waiting impatiently patiently to use a map as the background. Instead I used the Cricut (my BFF) to cut out the letters from my map. And it turned out precious!

The Pilgrim craft came from Free Kids Crafts. We painted our faces yesterday.

Today, we added clothes, eyes, noses, and mouths. They turned out great! Next week we will spend the week discussing the trip on the Mayflower (transportation) and all about the Pilgrims. We will also prepare for our Thanksgiving Feast next Thursday. :)
