Friday's journal topic:
We had September's S.W.A.P (Stations with a Purpose or Stations with Awesome People) The theme was apples, Johnny Appleseed that is. ;)
In Ms. Kim's room, the students made apple prints.
In Ms. Kaley's room, the students made Johnny Appleseed books.
In Ms. Brooke's room the students tasted different apple dips and voted on their favorite.
And in my room with Ms. Jenna the students read Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie and discussed the different types of apples and the steps to making an apple pie. The students then made handprint apple trees.
We will have SWAP each month with a related theme. I hope the students enjoy it as much as the teachers do. I was sad to miss it yesterday. If I have missed telling you, my son is a sick little boy right now and needed me with him Monday and Tuesday. We made it to the doctor yesterday and are waiting on the blue skies up ahead. :)
A special thanks to Ms. Annie for coming into our classroom to tell us about her important job as director. We love you, Ms. Annie!!! xoxo
Today, we had gymnastics and dance.
