today's snapshot

we practiced our Yy's one last time on the smartboard this morning.

we participate each year in the Week of the Young Child. This year, the week of April 16th will be participating in Joining Hands for Week of the Young Child which " is designed to bring attention to the needs of young children ages birth to five to local and state decision makers." In order to bring attention to young children across our state, it has been asked that "child advocates across the state have anyone that works with young children submit handprints that the children have traced and decorated. These handprints will be delivered to the State House in Montgomery, AL to be posted in Alabama Legislative offices." we completed our handprints today and Ms. Annie will be mailing them the beginning of next week. :)

We also did our My Big World magazine, formally known as Clifford magazine, today. We learned about seeds, how to make them grow, parts of a plant, and working together.

we played a game where we had to sort seeds into the correct package...

and then pick a seed to plant and watch grow.

this afternoon our limited centers included free draw, 

the Spring sensory tub, 

seed sorting game, 

and writing in journals.

Ms. Kim's class "sold" lemonade to the students today :)

this morning we practiced writing Yy's in our salt tray.

and finished up our chick puzzles.

before music, we danced to some letter Y songs :)

we read A Tree Named Steve and then decided what we might name our own trees.
