I am an early childhood teacher who taught preschool for 8 1/2 years, 2 years of K4, and ending my first year in K5. All at UWA Campus School! I love my job, teacher blogging, and hope to pass on some of the gems that I find (with due credit) and share our stories, too! Please leave a comment if you use anything you find or if you use my blog. And don't forget to become a member and sign up for email updates. :)

this week
last week's snapshot
so, in case you were wondering since you haven't seen me lately, I am alive.
my son had strep the end of last week and I became very sick Sunday night with it, naturally.
hopefully, things will be back to normal now. :)
thank you to all the grandparents (and families) for coming to our Grandparent's Program Monday. they practiced super hard and I think they did great! it was so nice to meet those who I have heard so much about and to see those I already know after the program.
we had a busy week of visitors last week! Tuesday was Hero Day and members of many UWA sports stopped by to spend time with us. this is always a favorite time for our students.
Mr. Robert is always so much fun when he visits!
while they were here, we had athletes learn about maps with us...
and read to us...
and play hide-and-go-seek outside with us...
and eat snack with us...
and do math journals with us!
Miss Hunter even dressed up Sofia :D
me and my little hero, pre-sickness
we also learned about maps.
we made a map of the campus school.
and a key to help with homework.
students shared the maps they made of their bedrooms with us.
they are posted out by the cubbies for your viewing pleasure :)
the students even found a map I placed in the writing center for them!
located outside our door each day is our Tiger Tap sight word. each time the students walk out the door, they are to high 5 the sight word and say the sight word.
we celebrated Johnny Appleseed's birthday Thursday with SWAP (Stations With Awesome People).
the students fingerpainted with apples in Ms. Alison's room, learned there is a star inside every apple in Ms. Kim's room, learned a finger puppet play in Ms. Brooke's room, and made apple pies with Miss Hunter since I was at home with Bennett.
one of our math journals:
a few of our journal writings:
Draw your school.
what is your favorite tv show?
draw something that can be gray.
who is johnny appleseed?
draw something that begins with W.
